National Cadet Corps
National Cadet Corps is largest Tri-services youth organization in the world. In India it is established in 1917 as a University Corp. The Moto of national cadet corps is “Unity and Discipline”. The aim of National cadet corps is to develop qualities of character, courage, discipline, leadership, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and ideal of selfless services among the youth to make them useful citizens, and to create trained motivated and human resources organized youth to provide leadership in Armed forces and always available for the services of the nation. In Shripatrao Kadam College,Shirwal D-1 Company is established under the 22 Maharashtra Bn NCC, Satara since 2011. In our D-1 Company, 55 cadets enrolled in three years of NCC course for qualifying ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate examination. Along with rigorous NCC training, all cadets participate in various social activities like, Tree plantation, Blood donation; Pulse polio mass Immunization and Rallies organized by government and non-government organizations. One of our cadets joined Republic Day Parade. College magazine is mirror of the annual progress of the institute in various fields. The magazine is one of its kinds in Shivaji University and brings laurels to the institute each year.The magazine was awarded as The Best magazine by the Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan,Mumbai for the year 2013-2014.
